A business associate of Harry and Meghan, quoted in the Daily Mail, noted a “warming of the frost” between the prince and King Charles, citing improved communication following Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare and subsequent interviews. However, security concerns initially delayed the trip, with reports in late June 2026 suggesting Meghan and the children might not join Harry. Updated accounts, however, confirm their participation.
Harry’s recent public appearances have included events in the US, such as the Warrior Games in San Antonio and the NBA Finals, where he attended with a military veteran. His absence from the Trooping the Colour ceremony in June 2026 marked his fourth consecutive year skipping the event.
