Vodafone Idea (Vi) has expanded its service portfolio with the introduction of Vi One, a bundled offering that integrates high-speed fiber broadband, prepaid mobile services, and over-the-top (OTT) subscriptions into a single billing plan. This move positions the operator to compete directly with rival Bharti Airtel's Airtel Black service, which launched in July 2021.
Unlike its primary competitors, Vodafone Idea does not market home broadband under its own brand name. Instead, these services are powered by YOU Broadband and are available in select cities and locations. To facilitate the transition for new users, Vi is providing a free router and installation as part of the broadband connection.
The Vi One Bundle Structure
The Vi One service currently features four pre-defined plans. All four options include a Vi Hero unlimited prepaid recharge, which provides unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of data daily. Additionally, all bundles include the Binge All Night offer, providing internet access from 12 midnight to 6 am without deducting from the data pack, as well as weekend data rollover.

While these bundled plans focus on specific speed tiers, Vodafone Idea also offers a standalone broadband plan priced at Rs 1297. This plan provides fiber-based connectivity and 3.5TB of monthly fair usage policy (FUP) data, after which speeds drop to 2 Mbps. It includes a Vi Movies & TV subscription granting access to numerous platforms, including LionsgatePlay, MXPlayer, FanCode, and ShemarooMe.
The Vi Movies & TV Ecosystem
The entertainment component of these bundles is managed via the Vi Movies & TV (ViMTV) app, brought to subscribers by Vodafone Idea Business Services Ltd. The app is compatible with Android (5.1+), iOS (10.0+), Amazon Firestick, Samsung Smart TVs (2018 models and above), and LG Smart TVs (2019 models and above), though some sources indicate LG support is still in process.
For subscribers not using the Vi One bundle, Vi offers separate add-on packs for prepaid and postpaid users:
- Plus: Rs 248 per month for 17 OTTs on mobile and TV.
- Pro: Rs 199 to Rs 202 per month for 13 to 14 OTTs on mobile and TV.
- Super: Rs 175 for 28 days, providing 15+ OTTs on mobile and TV.
- Lite: Rs 154 for 1 month, providing 16 OTTs on mobile devices only.
Users can also receive complimentary Vi Movies & TV Super access by recharging with specific prepaid plans, such as the Rs 449 plan (28 days), Rs 795 plan (56 days), Rs 979 plan (84 days), Rs 2399 plan (6 months), or the Rs 4999 plan (1 year).
The service employs a hybrid viewing model. While most content is streamed directly within the ViMTV app, certain partners like JioHotstar and ZEE5 require users to be redirected to their own respective platforms or apps to play content.
Vi continues to target high-paying customers in India through these bundles, although it remains behind Airtel and Jio in terms of overall market penetration and the availability of higher-speed broadband tiers.
