Ariana Grande has spent the Fourth of July weekend in Florida with her former boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, according to reports. The pair were photographed Saturday, July 4, leaving a Whole Foods in Boca Raton with grocery bags, as Alvarez helped load the items into a vehicle.

For the outing, Grande wore light blue jeans and a gray hoodie, her brunette hair pulled back in a bun with a pink headband. Alvarez wore a white polo shirt, dark-wash denim, sneakers, and a black baseball cap. The sighting follows reports that Grande spent the Fourth of July at her parents' home with Alvarez present.

The outing is the latest in a series of public appearances for the duo, who dated from April 2015 through July 2016. In June, they were photographed grabbing lunch and hanging out in Texas. During this time, Alvarez attended Grande's Eternal Sunshine Tour stop in Austin, where he was seen in the VIP section for her birthday show on 26 June and a performance two days earlier. TikTok footage also allegedly captured Alvarez shaking hands with Grande's father.

During the Austin concert, the singer altered the lyrics to her hit Thank U, Next, which originally namechecked Alvarez. Instead of singing, Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh, Grande sang, I know he still got my back and Now they still kinda slap. The performance occurred shortly after news broke that Grande had split from her boyfriend, 34-year-old Ethan Slater. Reports indicate Grande and Slater split several months before the news became public, and a source stated they remain friends with nothing but respect and admiration for one another.

While the recent sightings have sparked reconciliation rumors among fans, some sources have pushed back. According to Page Six, sources insisted there is nothing romantic between Ariana and Ricky this time around.

Grande and Alvarez first dated after he was hired as a backup dancer for her Honeymoon Tour in 2015. Their relationship has remained amicable over the years; they were spotted together in January 2019, and Grande previously told Zach Sang in 2019 that Alvarez loved being featured in Thank U, Next, though he questioned why he received the worst line.

Following her split from Alvarez in 2016, Grande dated Mac Miller until 2018, when Miller died at age 26 from an accidental overdose.
