Christina Pazsitzky has spoken publicly about her separation from husband Tom Segura, describing the period as a really difficult time for our family in a message posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The message was directed toward the Mommies, the fan base for the couple's joint podcast, "Your Mom’s House." Pazsitzky thanked the audience for their kind messages and noted that because episodes are pre-recorded in advance, recent events had not yet been mentioned on the show.

The separation follows 18 years of marriage. According to an insider who spoke to TMZ, the pair separated a couple of months ago but remain completely amicable.

Segura, 47, and Pazsitzky, 50, married in November 2008. They share two sons, Ellis and Julian, born in 2016 and 2018. A source told TMZ that the couple is taking different paths moving forward while remaining devoted to their children, noting they had a productive relationship that resulted in two kids and one of the most successful comedy podcast networks in the industry.

The comedians have long integrated their domestic life into their professional work. They co-founded the YMH Studios podcast network and have co-hosted "Your Mom’s House" since its debut in 2012. They also appear together in the Netflix dark comedy "Bad Thoughts."

Despite the split, the pair will reportedly continue to co-host their podcast. However, they have not recorded an episode together since late April.

Public hints regarding the instability of the marriage appeared as recently as July 13, when Segura was seen without his wedding ring during an episode of "2 Bears, 1 Cave," a podcast he co-hosts with Bert Kreischer.

The couple frequently used their marriage as source material for comedy. In her 2017 Netflix special "Mother Inferior," Pazsitzky stated, I love my husband. I laugh at his jokes. I think he’s fantastic. And then all day, every day, I wanna punch him in his dumb face.

Segura echoed this comedic approach to their relationship in a 2019 joke, claiming the key to his marriage was intimidation and fear. He compared his position in the relationship to the people of North Korea while describing his wife as Kim Jong-il, suggesting his daily life consisted of a series of interrogations leading to a looming execution.

The history of the pair began at open mic nights in Los Angeles. Segura told the "TigerBelly" podcast in 2018 that he and Pazsitzky were initially just friends because she was in another relationship at the time. After learning she had broken up with her partner, Segura attempted to ask her on a date for a hike, which she declined. They eventually began dating after she invited him to a bar where smoking was permitted.

As their careers grew, they evolved from living in a crummy two-bedroom apartment with no money to relocating from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas, for a slower pace of life. In 2024, Pazsitzky described their lives as grounded, mentioning that they come home to a normal environment where their children fart on Segura's head and she prepares dinner.

The couple also faced external stress earlier this year. In January, they were stuck in the Caribbean for several extra days due to military action by the Trump administration in Venezuela. In a video shared via Instagram, Segura described the experience as a mystery of whether they would be allowed to leave the airport, while Pazsitzky noted they were trying to avoid getting a DUI during the delay.
