Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff Have Reportedly Separated
Musician Jack Antonoff and actress Margaret Qualley have reportedly separated after nearly three years of marriage. The news follows a series of public absences and social media changes that fueled speculation about the couple's status.
According to People, the couple is currently in a rocky
phase. Multiple sources cited by the publication claim the pair are trying to work through their issues, with insiders explaining that they are still figuring things out
. The strain in the relationship is reportedly attributed to the challenges of balancing demanding careers, including long work commitments and frequent travel.
Speculation intensified around July 3, 2026, when Antonoff attended the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden without Qualley. Instead, the Bleachers frontman was accompanied by his sister, Rachel Antonoff, who wore a silver sequined gown. The siblings had also attended the couple's rehearsal dinner together on July 2.
Further evidence of a rift emerged online. Qualley reportedly removed several photos from her Instagram account, including images from their August 2023 wedding, and changed her username to remove a reference to one of Antonoff's songs. While some older posts have since been unarchived, wedding photos remain absent. Additionally, Antonoff reportedly removed a song inspired by his wife, titled Margaret
, from the live setlist for Bleachers.
Despite the reports, Antonoff has been seen wearing his wedding ring. On Wednesday, July 8, he was photographed in Brooklyn walking a dog with his sister Rachel while wearing a gold band on his left hand. In the images, he wore a New York Knicks championship T-shirt, black shorts, and brown shoes.
The couple first sparked dating rumors in August 2021 after being spotted on an ice cream date in Brooklyn. They made their official debut as a couple on March 11, 2022, at the AFI Awards Luncheon, followed by an appearance at the Critics' Choice Awards on March 13. Qualley had been nominated for her role in Maid at that event.
Their progression toward marriage was rapid. By May 2022, Qualley debuted a diamond engagement ring at Cannes. They eventually married in August 2023 on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, in a ceremony Antonoff later described as really beautiful
during a December 2023 appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Throughout their relationship, both spoke of a profound connection. In 2021, Antonoff told The Howard Stern Show that meeting Qualley felt like a f--king Hallmark movie that doesn't seem believable
and that he began imagining marriage immediately. He later told i-D magazine in February that meeting his partner killed a cynical part
of him.
Qualley expressed similar sentiments in September 2025 via Cosmopolitan, stating that Antonoff made her feel safe and comfortable
and that she no longer felt the loneliness she experienced in previous relationships.
"I spent so many years trying to be someone's perfect girl, and that girl changed over and over again. But I can't lie to Jack. I can't be that for him—he'd see through it. So I just have to be myself. He's been the person I've pictured my whole life."

The couple was last seen together publicly at the 2026 Grammy Awards, where they were photographed cuddling backstage. However, a February 2026 cover story in Vanity Fair suggested Qualley appeared reluctant
to discuss Antonoff at that time.
Representatives for both Antonoff and Qualley have not responded to requests for comment from E! News and Us Weekly. Neither party has released an official public statement regarding the separation.
