The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a collection of moments from their recent summer season, showcasing family outings and personal milestones. On July 28, the couple shared a series of photographs and a message on Instagram titled The Summer Rewind, thanking the public for making the previous few months special.

The highlights featured the royal couple, both 44, alongside their children. The images included visits to Wimbledon with Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince George, 13, as well as various portraits of the three children taken throughout the summer.

The season was particularly notable for the family as Prince George officially became a teenager on July 22. To celebrate the occasion, the family posted a montage of the young prince, accompanied by a caption thanking the public for birthday wishes.

Beyond family time, Prince William engaged in a variety of high-profile activities. These included testing a Formula 1 race car, meeting with Maori queen Nga wai hono i te po, and celebrating the 100th birthday of David Attenborough. The Prince also spent time with figures such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Emma Watson, and Robert Irwin.

For the Princess of Wales, the summer combined public service with a focus on health and recovery. Kate spent time with children through the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. This followed her first public appearance of 2026, which took place at Charing Cross Hospital in London to support healthcare workers. This outing occurred nearly one year after she announced her cancer was in remission in January 2025.

The Princess also participated in the National Three Peaks Challenge. The endeavor served to raise awareness for holistic cancer healthcare and provide support for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

"I have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge, not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back,"

In a June Instagram post regarding the challenge, the Princess reflected on the nature of recovery and bravery. She described the Royal Marsden as a place of great meaning where expertise is life changing for so many people. She further noted that healing is about finding a balance between trust and control, and effort and acceptance.

"Because in the end, bravery isn't just about pushing forward. It is about knowing how to stay grounded, connected and present, no matter the terrain or landscape you are walking."

The royal couple also addressed more somber matters earlier in the year. A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed on February 9 that the Prince and Princess had been deeply concerned by revelations stemming from documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, stating that their thoughts remained focused on the victims.

These personal and public reflections follow a year that began with a focus on nature. On her 44th birthday, January 9, the Princess of Wales shared a video featuring snowy landscapes and a voiceover discussing the power of nature to heal, describing it as a quiet teacher that guides memory.
