GTA Online Kortz Center Heist update launches July 14

Rockstar Games has announced that the next major expansion for GTA Online, titled The Kortz Center Heist, will launch on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The update is scheduled to go live at 10am BST, or 2 AM PT / 5 AM ET. This summer DLC arrives for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The heist targets the Kortz Center, a prestigious cultural foundation and gallery located in Pacific Bluffs. Players will collaborate with Mr. Faber and his fixer, Raf De Angelis, to execute a multi-stage art theft of the gallery's most valuable exhibits. According to Rockstar, the operation requires meticulous preparation, beginning with the purchase of a Prix Luxury Mansion and the addition of an Art Studio extension.

The Art Studio serves as the operational headquarters for the heist. Within this space, a gifted counterfeiter acts as an artist-in-residence, crafting forgeries to replace the original pieces stolen from the museum. This studio also functions as a stockpile for gear and tech, allowing players to build custom loadouts for the finale. Mansion owners can invite friends into the Art Studio and use the space to display stolen art and trophies instead of selling them to Mr. Faber’s clients.

Preparation involves scoping out the Kortz Center to snap candid photos of paintings without alerting security and identifying viable escape routes. This reconnaissance determines how the heist is executed. While players can choose to go loud or quiet, those who remain covert, wipe CCTV footage, and leave no witnesses will secure a higher payout, as art known to be stolen commands lower prices on the secondary market.

The heist can be tackled solo or with a crew of up to three other players. Rockstar noted that having extra hands may assist in escaping with more loot. To increase replayability, the update introduces three new paintings to steal each week. While the initial sale of a piece provides the most robust payout, players have the option to keep Primary Target paintings for decoration.

Beyond the heist, the update introduces several new vehicles, including the Grotti Veleno GT and various supercars. Some of these new additions will be compatible with Drift and Hao's Special Works upgrades. GTA+ members will receive the Grotti Veleno GT for free from The Vinewood Car Club starting July 14, with exclusive access for one week before the car is available for general purchase.

Rockstar is also implementing broader game improvements, including updates to the Rockstar Mission Creator. Additionally, those who own GTA V on PS4 or the digital version on Xbox One can upgrade to PS5 or Xbox Series X|S versions at no extra cost, allowing them to carry over Story Mode and Online progress.

In the lead-up to the launch, Rockstar is running preparation events featuring bonus in-game cash and discounts. Between June 18 and July 13, mansion owners who log in can receive a GTA$1,000,000 discount on the Art Studio upgrade and unlock a unique painting. GTA+ subscribers are offered a $2,000,000 discount on Prix Luxury Real Estate purchases, and all players can access a temporary 40% bonus on GTA$ when purchasing Shark Cards.

Some reports suggest this may be the final major storyline DLC before the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. This theory is supported by observations of previous Rockstar releases, such as the 2018 treasure hunts preceding Red Dead Redemption 2. Whether this update serves as a final send-off for the current storyline remains to be seen when the patch arrives on July 14.
