Other high-placing competitors included Chobi, who took second place using Ogre and Kuon, while Kaji and Muteki placed fifth and sixth using Londrekia and Izumi, respectively.
Zohar's addition continues the expansion of a roster that launched in January 2024 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The launch version featured 21 returning characters and three new additions: Tsurugi, Kuon, and Kaguya. Subsequent season pass content has seen the arrival of Uzuki in July 2024 and Ogre in February 2025, followed by Izumi on August 19.
The title serves as the concluding chapter of the Hollow Night storyline and utilizes the franchise's signature Grading Resource Dynamic (GRD) mechanic. This system forces players to compete for control of the GRD while fighting for survival.
